Jonathan Torio

Jonathan Torio, a singer, dancer, and actor, was born and raised in the Philippines where he won numerous national competitions. He has been praised for his powerful high notes in national competitions in his native country, the Philippines. He is currently working on his undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance at Brigham Young University - Hawaii, under the study of Melissa Walker Glenn. He began his singing career at the age of ten and joined local singing competitions in the Philippines. He performed in Musical Theater productions in Brigham Young University - Hawaii, he played the role of Pepe in West side story and other productions such as Pirates of Penzance and a workshop. 

 

Jonathan Torio studied contemporary dance, Jazz, and Hip Hop for several years, and he is known for his versatile dancing skills. He also won a National Short Film Competition, entitled "Uniporme" for National Youth Commission, where he played the principal role.
